Welcome Baby Girl!

Our beautiful girl, Zoé, arrived at 37 weeks on December 21st 2024, weighing a sweet 5 pounds 9 ounces. She’s already filling our hearts with so much love, even as we navigate her little health challenges—she has a bit of jaundice, so we’ve been in and out of the hospital for light therapy.

Postpartum recovery has been harder than I expected. I’ve tried running again, but my body feels so weak, and I’m still limping. It’s tough facing those struggles with things that once came so easily to me, but I’m reminding myself that this is just the beginning of my journey back to strength.

Today, I wanted to go to the gym, but I felt too self-conscious to go during the day. I still look somewhat pregnant, and it’s been making me want to hide. Funny how we think we need to “get in shape” before going to the gym, right? I’ll go later tonight when it’s quieter.

For now, I’m soaking in these moments with Zoé and my older baby, Justine, who just drifted off to sleep. Time to nurse Zoé and prepare for my late-night gym session!

Here’s to small steps forward and giving ourselves grace. ❤️
