Changes!

It’s funny how life has a way of nudging us towards change, isn’t it?

I’ve been slowly parting ways with some of of my old pieces, realizing that I’m entering a new phase in my life. As a busy mom, comfort and practicality are more important to me now than ever before. While I used to be able to rock certain styles effortlessly, I’m finding that investing in high-quality, classic pieces is the way to go. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling confident and comfortable in my own skin.

However, my recent rummaging through old work clothes bins unearthed another realization—I need to work on my physical strength. I never used to think much about gaining muscle, especially in my arms. But as I compared my upper body to my lower body, I noticed a stark contrast. I felt a bit too “skinny on top” for my liking. And then there’s the matter of my lower abs. A weak abdomen can truly affect how an outfit looks and feels on me.

The dress that made me realize I need to step my game up

It’s fascinating how this journey into style and strength has intersected. I’ve come to understand the importance of being strong, not just for aesthetics but for my overall well-being. When I commit to regular workouts, eat right, and focus on building strength, my posture improves, I feel better, and I look better in my clothes.

I recently posted a few pictures of my old clothes on Facebook Marketplace. To my surprise, I’ve been inundated with messages from men, some of which included unsolicited pictures of their genitals. It caught me off guard, and I found myself asking my husband if my photos seemed inappropriate. I was simply trying to sell off some of my old stuff, not invite inappropriate behavior.

Wondering if my pics are inappropriate or send off a message…

On another note, I’m revving it all the way up! I’m excited to see where this path leads me and how I continue to evolve.

I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on my progress. In the meantime, remember to invest in yourself, whether it’s through your wardrobe or your physical well-being. Here’s to embracing change and growing stronger, inside and out!
