Late-Night Study Session

Hey there,

Guess where you’ll find me right now? Yep, nestled on the bed with a hefty psychology textbook in one hand and my little co-pilot, Justine, snuggled up next to me, adding her own occasional commentary of gurgles and baby talk. The mission? Conquer three chapters before the clock strikes 2pm tomorrow – final exam style.

But wait, there’s more! Jackson’s buddy from soccer is having a sleepover tonight.

His mom needed a hand, and voila, we’re now the proud hosts of an impromptu sleepover. While Jackson’s off in dreamland, his buddy and my husband are downstairs in some epic video game showdown. A night of virtual quests and dude bonding – way different from our cozy study nook.

Speaking of mornings, I managed to drag myself to the gym at some ungodly hour today. Stepped on the scale, and guess what? It spat out a nice 113. Pre-pregnancy weight, holla! But here’s the twist – staring at my reflection, I swear my belly was having its own party. Call it the “Post-Baby Belly Blues,” I guess.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about progress, not perfection. So, while I side-eye that persistent mini-gut, I’m not letting it steal my thunder. I’m in this for the whole “strong and healthy” gig, not just the digits on the scale.

Alright, enough deep thoughts. Back to the textbook trenches, with baby serenades and virtual sword clinks playing in the background. Time to conquer Freud and his psychology universe.

Catch you later, after I’ve wrestled with a few more pages and (hopefully) emerged victorious.
