An Overdue Update!

Hey there, friends! It’s been quite some time since my last update, and I owe you all an explanation. Our home has been a whirlwind of activity with the complete renovations taking place. I must admit, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, and I’ve been feeling the stress weighing on my shoulders.

Initially, I tried to tough it out and live in the house during the renovations. But, oh boy, it was absolute chaos! Contractors coming in and out, tools and materials everywhere, and all our belongings scattered in boxes. It became nearly impossible to find anything, and the stress level skyrocketed. So, after much contemplation, I made the decision to move to my parents’ house temporarily.

Now, I’ve been here for two weeks and counting, and it’s been a blessing in disguise. Spending quality time with my little ones, Justine and Jackson, has been an absolute joy. Each morning, I’m up early, getting myself ready before gently waking them up for the day’s adventures. Jackson is with me for the summer, and we’ve all been having a blast together.

Although my daily routine has changed significantly, some challenges have popped up along the way. Regular workouts have taken a backseat since I don’t have access to a gym, and my husband is holding down the fort at our house. Finding time to go for a run has been tricky, but my hubby has been my saving grace, driving me here and there when he can spare a moment from painting the bedroom walls and getting things ready for our move.

On the bright side, the running around has helped me shed a few pounds, and I’m only two pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. While it’s nice to slim down a bit, I miss my regular workouts and the muscle tone I worked hard to achieve. However, I’m looking forward to getting back into a consistent fitness routine once the dust settles.

Speaking of which, the kitchen installation is just around the corner, and we’re hoping to have our home back in full swing by next week. The thought of returning to some semblance of normalcy excites me, and I’m eager to get back into the groove of my regular routine.

Stay tuned for more updates as life settles into a rhythm, and I can’t wait to resume sharing my experiences with you all regularly.

Hello? Is it me you’re looking for?
